Shifting to the positive: mountains 26 July 2009

I’ve been yearning and dreaming of mountains for a while now.  It’s not just the beauty of the mountains, I believe, but the year round availability of cool weather which I desperately miss.  Living in Texas for so long has thrown me even further out of balance.  From what I can figure out, at the most basic I have need to disperse heat according to chinese medicine.  I don’t know how I can do that here.  Even as I talk about this right now I feel tension and that isn’t helping.  I’m going to attempt to shift my focus so I can go to bed in peace and help this process along.  I’m just going to make a list of good feeling statements for now to counter the negative thoughts.

1. There don’t need to be many jobs available to move, just one – the one for me.

2. I didn’t feel confident coming into my current job, but I was able to get that job and get out of a previous bad experience.  There’s no reason why I can’t do that again.

3. When I allow the universe to move at its pace, things work out well.

4. I have always trusted my path, and it has always worked out for me.

5. I am able to breath and relax, releasing tension.

6. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could find the perfect job opportunity soon?

7. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could find some patience? lol

8. While I wait, wouldn’t it be nice to dream of beautiful places every night?

9. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a cold snap so I got some relief from the heat? :-)

10. Wouldn’t it be nice to take a shower right now?  Yep. And that’s something I can control, so I will do that now. hehe

I still feel some internal tension, actually it’s anxiousness, but I do feel better.

Summary of Today’s Visit

Spending I’m assuming I’m starting fresh, as if I just got this out of the blue.
1. Toyota Prius – 22,000
2. Laptop – 3,000
3. Zildjian K cymbals – 500
4. Dental – 1000

Your Comments I’m kinda low today, the result of too much stress. So while my resistance is low, my desire isn’t very high. What I want isn’t bought with money. It’s time, and the ability to make school magically better. But as I let my purchases sink in, I do feel a bit better for it. :-)

Your Comments I think I needed that break to refocus. it felt good to open this up today, where on other days it didn't. I just got discouraged with all of our expenses, and didn't focus on the fact that everything will work out. So we have no idea how, at the moment, but that's ok! It'll work. :-) So I'm glad I'm back to this, though it's still scary to think of spending this much moeny. But screw it, I want to move forward, and this feels like forward. Hooray!

Your Comments I had an unexpected expense come up today. However, an unexpected expense isn't a big deal if you've had an unexpected increase come in the day before, right? It's just a little harder to bring my energy back up. I think I'll take a shower and get things moving, renewing my sense of well being. I'm starting to feel better already!
